I was wondering if the packages will stop working after a certain time limit or if they will work indefinitely?-Kraemer

No the packages don't expire, the DivX Pro encoder features a trial period but that only applies to the pro features of the codec, after the DivX Pro trial period (180 days) it will switch to non pro features, but you should still be able to encode.

Hope that helps you.
