Hi Mattias, many thanks for the feedback.
The open source AC3Filter is far more compatible with Vista than others.

AC3Filter does need a little tweaking to get the sound on a similar level to normal audio.
I have AC3Filter on my system set to a gain of +20 and I've also enabled DRC at a level of +5.
It's not perfect but it's very close to the level I would expect.

Give it a try and let me know what you think.

Great work Mattias, I've done a similar matrix, I'll attach a capture of the matrix I tried.

At the moment I will not be adding the old InterVideo/CyberLink AC3 filters to the package again, as they are becoming dated and newer versions are strictly just for their parent companies players.

I agree with your previous comments about Vista, I've had incredible limitations on multichannel audio and multi-screen configurations.
Microsoft's reasons for the limitations are that it is part of the roll out of digital rights management.
Any digital output from a Vista system that does not provide copy protection is immediately blocked, the only way around it is to use a HDMI output for both video and audio, or settle for a lossy analogue output, or at best a stereo digital output via S/PDIF.

I will add detection to disable Nero's filters and codecs.
I'm avoiding adding any more Fraunhofer MP3 filters or codecs because they are all so old now and often only work on specific versions of Windows.
