| I'm considering using this new codecs pack and was going to delete any of the conflicting Codecs that you listed. I went to the Video Codecs Properties in Windows XP SP2 Control Panel and found the video and audio condecs. BUT I do know that I have the DivX player and codec on my computer but it WAS NOT not listed in the Video Codecs Properties window. I know that the DivX files are in the System32 directory but where would I normally find, for instance, were the other "packs" would be located or where a ffdshow codecs would be? What are their file names? If they are not listed in the VCP window is it not a concern?
One more question...Is this codecs package integrable with VitrualDub?
Any help is immensely appreciated!! Thanks!

| My packages can overwrite previous codecs in system32 provided you have only just started up your system and havent played any movies or music since starting (codecs are often locked as soon as they are put into use).
DivX can be found by looking for files named divx.dll, divxdec.ax, DivXConfig.exe.
ffdshow can be found by searching for ff_ which would locate most of the files, such as ff_vfw.dll.
Other codec packs often use their own folder (eg. C:\Program Files\Blah Codec Pack) or system32.
If you have codecs present on your system but cannot see any mention in the codec manager then the registry entries have been deleted.
Also all encoders with the exception of Ligos Indeo XP and On2 VP 7 (these exceptions are for legal reasons) will be enabled in Windows' codec manager and functional with VirtualDub.

SO I probably should still find the files that are outside of System32 so that they won't conflict, but if I install your codecs pack immediately after booting there should be no need to have to find and delete those files in System32 correct? But it's probably safe to do it anyways just in case.
I think I'm answering my own questions here HA. Just checking though.
I'm assuming that your pack WILL NOT find the codecs outside of System 32, correct?
