Subject: using .srt file

I have a film in avi format and a subtitle file in .srt format, I can watch the movie or burn the movie to dvd but I want to use the subtitles as I dont understand japanese, any ideas?

For playback on the PC there is VSFilter included in the codec packs, it will load subtitles if they are named almost exactly like the video file.

As for burning to DVD I'd suggest looking for a DVD authoring program that supports importing subtitles.
