| XviD 1.1.2 was released in november and is featured in versions 6.0.8 and 6.0.9 of the advanced codec pack.
The new version of GSpot will be added to version 6.0.9 of the advanced codec pack.
No need to post all over the forum by the way.

| The ffdshow build I have been using is from the original author of ffdshow.
The builds that have been compiled since 2005 are experimental try out builds, many of which have had bugs and/or been unstable.
The ICL 9 builds are unstable on AMD systems.
The SSE & SSE2 builds do not work on most small systems/compact media center systems featuring processors such as AMD Durons and VIA C3 based systems.
I will try the drevil_xxl builds soon and see how well they work.
It's worth remembering that the latest thing isn't always the greatest.

| I agree.
But most ITX systems like Car-PC's and slimline media centers are built around the VIA C3 processor range, they are not old technology, but they do not work properly with SSE builds of ffdshow.
Durons are fairly obsolete but you'll find a lot of people still using them for small PC's.
In the past I have used SSE builds of ffdshow in my packs, but received nothing but complaints about it.
Your system is fine because it supports SSE, SSE2 and SSE3.

SO WHY NOT TO build codec TO NEW systems AMD supports SSE, SSE2 and SSE3
AND
OLD systems OR INTEL ?
32 BIT AND 64 BIT ?
YOU CAN PUT "Z-CPU" AND
customer CAN SEE WHAT CPU THEY HAVE AND choose ONE package
