| Has anyone else experienced problems with the new 7.9.1 advanced pack not playing mkv files within WMPx64 on Win7? I had the old x64 addon pack installed and it worked although it did have functionality problems for me, but after installing 7.9.1 (after uninstalling the addon pack) and using the Haali splitter instead of the just the Matroska, I was completely unable to play mkv files. | |

| Does it play with just WMPx86? The mkv files don't work or play on x64 there is no plugin currently to make it work for the x64 player. You should just use the x86 WMP to watch your mkv files. | |

| Hi,
The Haali splitter in 7.9.1 works with both x86 and x64, so you shouldn't run into any issues.
Did you forget to restart your PC after uninstalling the old x64 add on pack? If so, restart your PC to make sure no decoders etc. are in use, then re-install the advanced pack.

| A quick update, attached to this post is a patch that should resolve the issue with mkv's on x64 players.

| Wow thanks it works wished I could do programming like you can do but I used to but in very limited experiences....only with C++...but that was so long ago...but thanks for the hard work...I when I get a chance point other users from chat sites looking for codec to check your site out. I know there are other out there but from limited uses and my experience this codec is far more stable and working with x64 a plus to me IMO.....keep up the good work...I will keep testing it with the x64...

| So far so good I ran x64 WMP12 and it works with mkv files ...not bad...so as of 5/30/2010 the x64 plugin is working.... | |
