Hi,

AVG-Free declares that the packs are infected with Downloader.zloB

I had the pack installed and AVG promptly quarantined and deleted uninst.exe and un_parts.exe. Now I am stuck with no way to uninstall the codecs on my machine. Please help. Thanks.

KK

AVG is pretty paranoid.

Which version of the pack have you got installed? Standard or Advanced?

Hi,

Both the standard and advanced packs will make AVG jump. I have the advanced pack installed on my machine. I presume "manual uninstallation" is going to be tedious? I really hate to reinstall XP.

Start off by uninstalling AVG.
Heres a list of false alarm reports from it and others, if you honestly believe it then it will cripple almost any packages you install that were built with NSIS:

As you may see it's not unusual for A/V software to pick out the installer/uninstaller when they're built with NSIS.

To restore the uninstaller for my package simply re-install it again and then uninstall it (AVG will pick it out again though if you leave it on your system).
