Will there be a update to your codec for the year 2013? And what new changes will it have possibly?

Hi FutureProof. A new version is steadily on the way.
New changes will include:
Hardware video decoder detection (Broadcom Crystal HD).
Auto detection of Windows Media Player version, with settings applied for DVD playback.
Updates to the GPU/iGPU database for DXVA acceleration and Intel Quick Sync.
A number of settings have been changed to make hardware acceleration simpler on Lucid Virtu and laptop dual graphics platforms.
Start menu shortcuts will mostly be replaced by a codec settings interface. This will make things much cleaner for Windows 8 users and everyone else.
Almost every codec will be updated as usual.

Some more changes include:
An icon in the task tray (near the clock) with a right click menu giving easy access to codec, video, and audio settings.
An update checker that runs 5 minutes after system start and repeats every 6 hours (which can also be disabled).
I'm also considering rewriting the installer and uninstaller so that it can update without restarting between uninstall and install.

cool...thanks for the update. I probably won't notice the changes too much but it's good to have a good codec that allows one to watch various formats and enjoy watching those formats.
