I HAVE C-MEDIA AC97 AUDIO DEVICE. MY SYSTEM HAS AMD 60GB. UNDER DEVICE PROPERTIES IT SAYS: DEVICE CANNOT START (CODE10).
LOCATION: PCI BUS -0, DEVICE 17, FUNCTION 5.

HOW DO I RESTORE SOUND? IS IT CODEC PROBLE, CONTROLLER PROBLEM OR DRIVER PROBLEM. PSE HELP

thanks. If its a driver problem how do i fix it? I have tried all kinds of possibilities including c-media website but no success. any suggestion?

Get the main chip model number off the soundcard and then get a driver from C-Media, I'd advise contacting them directly if you cant get an exact match.
