| I since reinstalled my system and now with the latest 8.0.3 I get this message from WMP.
Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The player might not support the file type or might not suppport the codec that was used to compress the file.
example
[HorribleSubs] Madan no Ou to Vanadis - 02 [720p]
gives this message...
Other anime video work and some don't is there a setting that I need to do to make 8.0.3 work correctly?
I uninstalled 8.0.3 and reinstalled 8.0.2 and everything work fine....I think something in the latest release missed something??
UPDATE:
Odd...I installed 8.0.2 and tested works on all the anime and then installed 8.0.3 over 8.0.2 and tried again and it works with 8.0.3. So is there something wrong when you do a new fresh clean install of 8.0.3 that is missing that 8.0.2 has that was deleted from 8.0.3 or change somehow that it doesn't work correctly in 8.0.3???

Which version of Windows are you using?
One significant difference between the two versions is that the Haali splitter is not installed by the latest version.
I tested [HorribleSubs] Madan no Ou to Vanadis - 02 [720p] with the default settings from version 8.0.3 and it worked for me on Windows 7. | |

| I am using Windows 7x64 Ult Sp1 WMP12 IE11 FF33. I had a complete system rebuild and reinstall as mentioned in the email. With Nvidia 344.11 it basically broke both 8.0.2 and 8.0.3 codec. So I went back to 340.52 and if I installed just 8.0.3 it didn't work but if 8.0.2 installed it was fine and then 8.0.3 installed over 8.0.2 it worked fine after that. But if I update to 344.11 that broke the codec. But I now tried the latest Nvidia 344.58 and this time my codec works. I am guess something in the 344.11 broke codec configuation. But I think for now just 8.0.3 install seems to have issues unless you had 8.0.2 installed before installing 8.0.3. | |
