| I want to use the 64 bit player in Vista will there be codecs to support it importantly will there be FLAC 64 bit anytime soon?

Thanks for the positive feedback.
At the moment there are very few codecs/filters/splitters that are true 64bit.
There is a 64bit version of ffdshow, but it is not considered to be very stable.
Media Center on Vista x64 requires 64bit codecs, but also requires some registry patches in order to work.
At the moment very few file types work, so you could find it troublesom.

| Thank you Cole, let's hope they will be developed in the near future as 64 bit becomes more popular. I tried 64 bit media player as a default but that was a disaster! That's M$ for you I guess!
I will stay with the Cole codec packs for x86 until the times comes for x64
