Would like to convert the gvi file to a format that will allow me to play the movie called "Terror Storm" found by typing it into google search.... on any DVD player or computer...........it is the first one listed, made by Alex Jones. I was able to burn it to DVD and it is 1:52 min long. Would love to convert it and make copies for friends. How is this done? Thank you.

I'm a little puzzled as to why you are downloading the file as .gvi or renaming a .avi download as .gvi.

Heres what I did...

1. Downloaded the .gvp link file and opened it in notepad.
2. Inside you'll find an entry beginning with "url:" (http://vp.video.google.com/videodownload?version=0&secureurl=uwAAAMyPv-XKPO8LADImjWsryg032k00YnVaOk8YnmIycPEfMP0_b-5zq94nyvmv5jrEyQXbceoG85-Ja9GotHZJ0mB4qSXX-axpHT4F58Q-ShG9MdXSGzyq-YQb5O6yb-UBYyjha7GUDTx9Y5OQ1EVtx1US_ThMZvcggZpCgviTiE5dbx7VvbXliGeuwOe25vMnbOw8Okn5fYIzd_3d2O-8Q0FW_bSSB1dbb6BiE4dRwcHMYvNOsi4FDALl9a3S8oSuiw&sigh=vyw9nxvBWvPjLynMAVLnHxIw6Vw&begin=0&len=6741707&docid=-5948263607579389947
docid:-5948263607579389947)
3. Place that URL in your browsers address bar and click go, this will bring up the file download dialogue with the file extension as .avi.

Playback:
The file played back as if it was a normal DivX avi file.
Any DVD player that supports DivX playback should play the file.

Conversion:
Nero Recode (Part of Nero 7 Premium) may be ok for conversion to DVD, but I havent tested it.

Hope that helps.
