Just wondering if and when there might be news of a newer version that will replace the current version Cole2k Media - Codec Pack V7.9.0 Advanced? I still currently use this version and it works fine on win7x64 as well as the x64 addon and haven't had problems playing various codecs on WMP12.

Hi, thanks for the feedback.
I'm on holiday right now, but will start on the next version of the packs at the beginning of January.

Ok. Yeah, I have to admit the latest 7.9.0 hasn't failes me yet since I made sure of that matrosska install from sometime back and doing that it works good now. This version works great on Win7 WMP12 makes it able to play the various formats without resorting to other programs. Cause I tried those other and have notice that the quality is not up to par with WMP when playing video from various formats. So if and when the new version comes out I will most likely download and install the new version. Oh yeah, I have Win7x64 version just to inform you and didn't as before mentioned have any problem install this version on Win7x64.
Thanks for your hard work on the codecs. And yes I know there are other out there but this package from my limited testing works for me better then the others.

Hi,
I should be updating the codec packs soon, the advanced codec pack will feature both x86 and x64 codecs, tweaks have been added for Windows 7.

OK, good to hear so should I uninstall the x64 addon pack as well? Cause I am going to do that as well. Uninstall all the current version and then install the new version since it contains the x64 formats.

You can download it via this link (Always the latest version) http://www.cole2k.net/?download=CP-A
Also, yes you should uninstall the old x64 add on, then restart your PC before installing the new pack.
