hi all
is there any software that will convert and burn avi files to dvd without having to create a menu, IE just play as soon as dvd is inserted into dvd player !! i have Nero 7 premium and roxio 7.5 but to create a dvd i have to create a menu to start the playback... i not to keen on nero because creating chapters gives me loads of menu screens which i dont want, ideally i would love invisible chapters like you get on normal retail dvds any ideas anyone??
thanks
happy new year too
dean

Hi Dean,

What did you do to get your problem solved? Are you using a different program? If you could let me know which program you decided to go with, that would be great. I am looking to accomplish the same thing as well.

Thanks,
Mr. Putney

hi
i am still using nero but sussed this out while playing about with my settings...what i do is as follows----------
open your Nero vision program and add your video movie file-then click on CREATE CHAPTERS, then click AUTO SELECT CHAPTERS (this can take a while for a full movie) but worth it, when its finished creating chapters click next, when your on the CREATE MENU SCREEN click MORE at the bottom of the screen and change the start program option from menu to what ever the name of your file is called (this will already be in the drop down list) click next, next, and then BURN this will then encode and burn an AVI movie to dvd without a menu but with chapters
GOOD LUCK
any problems let me know
