| I have a dvd that is in ntsc format, I need it to be in pal. Can I rip the dvd onto my hard drive and then burn it in pal format? | |

| Thats a bit of add odd request, most DVD players made within the past 8 years play either, it's the region code that usually makes things a problem, but that can be easily changed.
If you still want to convert it completely its a long process and you often lose DVD menu's, lose quality and generally end up with a not so good DVD. | |

| My dvd recorder, which is only 3 months old, states that it is pal only, my tv which is 18 months old has ntsc capability. I didnt actually have the dvd at the time of starting this thread but was worried that it wouldn't work. As it turns out it played perfectly well.
