| Hi,
I've got Vista Beta 2 with Media Centre loaded as a second OS. I've installed the Cole2K Codec Pack but MCE still complained that there was a CODEC issue when trying to play Movies (DVD/MPEG). I tried enabling MPGEG2 etc in ffdshow but it made no difference. Installed NVIDIA's 30 day trial software any anway it went. Am I configing the Cole2k Codec's incorrectly or will they not work with Media Centre?
Thanks

| Both codec packs are compatible with MCE (The Advanced pack is recommended for Vista), but in some instances problems do occur, examples are:
Some Graphics/TV/PVR cards output an incompatible MPEG stream that requires nVidia's software or similar.
Region patched drives cause region protection issues if region protection removal software is not also used eg. DVD43 or SlySoft's AnyDVD.
You may wish to try the advanced install option and select CyberLinks filters rather than the InterVideo ones in the default selection, it works better for some people.

| Version 6.0.8 of the Advanced and Standard codec packs have now been released on the main site.
The packs now support Windows Vista | |
