| Hi,
I used Nero recode to rip several movies to my HD in mp4 format. These files include a Dobly Digital 5.1 audio track stored in AAC format. I have yet to find any way, other than using Nero Showtime, to play them back, faithfully reproducing the encoded 5.1 audio. I was hopful that the Cole2K media pack would do the trick, but thus far, I can only get these mp4s to play back in Dolby Digital Surround, and then the audio volulme is so low, I have to crank up the AMP volume to hear anything at all.
I tried setting the AAC codec to realaac, as a guide on this site suggests, which fixes the volume problem, but then I get no center channel audio. I have a feeling I am very close on getting this working, but can't figure out the correct combination of settings to get everything working. Ultimately, I want to use Windows Media Center to view these movies.
Can anyone lend an insight to what steps I need to take to make this work? | |
