| Hi there.
I don't know much about encoding or decoding etc.
I downloaded this and I followed the intructions for setting up the mixer (unchecking most boxes and setting output to "same as input" and also changed AC3 to liba52 under "codec" in ffdshow audio etc.)
I'm using Windows XP Pro. and trying to watch the avi file in either Windows Media Player or Power DVD.
I downloaded an AVI video and at first had no sound - after using this I now have some sound, but the background music and sounds play really loudly, while the voices are just barely audible. How can I make it so that the voices in the movie play at least as loud as the background music etc.?

| Hi, if you're using just a pair of speakers change the ffdshow mixer from "same as input" to "2/0 - stereo" because if you don't then you just hear the front left and right channels of a surround sound AC3 audio track.
If you're using 4 speakers change "same as input" to "2/2 - quadro"
Hope that helps. | |
