this is really strange
i downloaded your advance codec pack as i was having trouble with an .avi file. (no audio)
now i get great audio but the video is screwed (bright green fuzzy background)
if i play the file using vlc i get perfect picture but no sound
if i use windows media player i get sound but unwatchable video(see above)
same deal with nero showtime great video but no sound -- i get error message here about dts
i have even downloaded zoom player -- get sound but, fuzzy green video
this is driving me to distraction
if you can supply an answer to this, Cole, i will worship at the alter of your genius for all eternity

Any chance you've looked to see what type of video it is in GSpot?

GSpot is included in the advanced pack.

It looks like you have an odd XviD encoded file there, probably a Beta, ffdshow is more able to decode troubled XviD files so here goes... click Start and go to Programs/Cole2k Media - Codec Pack/ and select ffdshow Configeration, you'll now see a list of video decoder options, in the right hand menu box you will see XviD at the top and then to the right of it there is a decoder option, click it and select "libavcodec" and thats it.

irq not equal errors are hardware errors, such as bad connections, hardware about to expire, overheating and in some cases it happens when a PC has been overclocked too much.
If you made a recent driver change you may want to check for that first.

Thats good to hear

I'll probably make ffdshow's XviD decoding setting a default in the next version.
