| I have a MCE 2005 machine. I have a Fushion OTA HD tuner. I have been having problems getting sound on my over the air HD channels mostly during prime time tv shows and football games. I have the latest AC3 filter, PowerDVD (tried NVIDIA Pure Decoder) and the lastest drivers for my Tuner.
I install the the Cole2K codec and it fixed the sound problem I was having but then my Divx movies no longer worked. I uninstalled the Cole2k and everything was back to normal with Divx movies but not with OTA HD audio.
Is there a paticular codec in that pack that got my audio initially working that I could use without messing up other system settings? Thanks! | |

| Hi,
Its most likely that you have a conflict issue:
You really shouldn't use multiple instances of DivX (often causes DivX to crash).
AC3 Filter is not recommended for MCE.
PowerDVD conflicts directly with MCE, PowerDVD's filters also conflict with all other MPEG2/AC3/DTS decoders/filters.
nVidia's filters are mainly for nVidia based cards and will also conflict with any other MPEG2/AC3/DTS decoders/filters.
PS. If you find some of the filters in the codec packs to be too problematic you can use the installers expert installation options.
