| Hi,
I am using Nero showtime 3 - part of Nero Ultra edition 7.2.7.0 and created a nrg from a DVD. The movie appears to play normally and when it burns from the ROM burner it works fine.
I installed Cole2K Nero plugin and still no success. I suspect an issue when decoding the audio typically dolby digital which I think is called AC-3.
Any advice on how to resolve?
Thx,
Chris. | |

| .nrg files are disc image files, they cannot be played, only burned to disc.
The Nero plugin pack on my site is for burning extra formats to Audio CD, nothing else.

| Disagree, as I was able to play them before as .nrg files. My HD crashed and I had to re-install Nero and the plugins but can't remmber which combination I used...
Showtime plays the video perfectly right now, but no sound. Just rying to figure out the right combination of decoder, etc. - I beleive it has something to do with the AC-3 - I don't think its installed properly or possibly, not in ocrrect directory to be active.

| .nrg are disc image files, much like clone image files, they are not intended to by played directly and I've never heard of anyone expecting to be able to.
What you can do is install something like Virtual CloneDrive http://www.slysoft.com/en/virtual-clonedrive.html?aid=50591 and mount the images in the virtual drive.
Then play them as if you're playing a normal DVD.
Use one of the codec packs to enable decoding for AC3.
