| hi there cole! i tried playing an avi file that is xvid, but i got an error from Windows media player saying "Specified module could not be found". I checked it with Gspot and its ok, in the Video tab it recognized it as xvid and the stat line says codec(s) are installed. what could be the problem? | |

| The problem is usually caused when you've installed my codec pack over a previous version or over another one, or uninstalled a previous one without restarting and installed another.
Uninstall the codec pack, restart your PC (if you don't restart your PC you will cause the same problem again), then re-install the codec pack. | |

| i did what u said but i still had the same error. i'm using a pc in a internet cafe, so i dont really know if there was a previous installation of codec that had been "properly" uninstalled. is there anyway i can find that out without reformatting this pc? thats the only reason i can think of right now thats causing for your codec not to function with regards to my problem. | |

| PC's in internet cafe's are usually set so that they cannot have applications installed and often have restrictions on the registry aswell.
