| right you have major issues with the xvid codec in the pack, i had to go back to th older version as when you play the videos of the xvid codec its looks awful, the video isnt smooth its like the sun is bouncing of every curve with shadows around the light.....if ya can see what i mean...basically the smoothness of the xvid isnt shown here.
so now ive reverted to the older version and everything is fine | |

| yep every single one
which is why i thought of reverting to the old version to see what it was like and as soon as i did, it was better
amnd i normally select the expert option | |

| I think it's likely that your processor doesn't support the media extensions for the ffdshow version in the advanced codec pack, the problem can occur with AMD Duron's, Intel Celeron's and very old processors.
However you will still be able to use the standard codec pack, that one features a more compatible ffdshow version. | |
